Beyond control

From now on, at the end of each entry, I will reflect every entry as to share my views or perspectives which most of us did not realize it - until it is too late. So, I hope that you will learn something or at least as to remind me the secrets of this life. Do comment because I would want to know what do you think. Thank you all.

Within 2 weeks, I’ve been going through a total denial of what is next on my list. Everything does not seems to rhyme. Maybe I just need to be more patient and consistent in whatever I do.

1. Study I was not really paying so much attention on my studies last Autumn semester. Even though it is not accumulated for the final grade, I guess it is not fair for me to act that way. Being a PETRONAS sponsored student really put myself into test. Failure will mean that I might need to go back to Malaysia and pay all the tuition fees. I should achieve at least a 2.1 (2nd class upper) this semester or I will put myself into a REALLY BIG TROUBLE. And I mean it! Spring semester will be a payback time.

2. Job It has been 23 days since I have launched mohdrafie.co.uk and I’ve been receiving so much positive comment and suggestion for friends and other designers. Thank you so much. Now, I’m looking forward to pursue my dream job as web and graphic designer. I know it is hard to be one, but I am pretty sure that I will get a reply soon. Numbers of my CV being downloaded and sent to companies and I’m waiting for a positive reply from them. Plan B: I’ve arranged few things such as selling digital photography (royalty free), design posters and postcards for sale, and do some freelance work. If I am able to get through the SPARK Business Competition, I will concentrate on it as I might earn 1000 pound and start a business.

3. Same number, new phone. Initially, I thought that my Nokia 6030 was out of coverage. I was wrong when I put it off and turned it on again. “Inset SIM Card” message appears until now. Thus I decided to go to 02 store (after Carphonewarehouse and Phones4U). Due to my loyalty with 02, I got an offer for Nokia 2030 (29.99) + Free 20.00 topup. I straight away grab my debit card and swipe it over for purchase. Why this phone? I’m not a big fan of any hand phone. All I need is a phone which can text and call, that simple.

Reflection: Our life has been arranged for all of us. We are here just to live and go through it. I would suggest that we just give our very best in what ever we do. But bear it mind that we will only get what we have been destined or bound with. Be grateful and don’t ever feel regret. Don’t look people above you for what they have got, look people below you. Would they be happy if they get what you have now?
