The purpose
of this Curriculum Vitae is a
specifically aimed to convince
digital media and printing
companies that I am worthy of
being considered for a job
placement. As a first year
Mechanical Engineering
undergraduate student, I have an
extensive knowledge on IT
related skills such as graphic
and web designing. Apart from
that, I believe that I have what
it takes to be creative and
innovative which happens to be
main attributes of graphic
designer. |

At 15, I was
at a crossroad of my life. I had
to decide on whether I would be
streamed into the field of
biology or engineering. That was
where it all started. I choose
to be in the engineering field
and studied Engineering
Technology for my SPM level.
This experience has given me the
opportunity to study range of
areas in Engineering such as
Mechanical, Civil, and
Electrical & Electronic
Engineering. From this exposure,
I find that Mechanical
Engineering intrigues me the
most. Dealing with machines,
circuits, and components are my
passion. I spent my free time
surfing the internet and reading
about the latest technology at
the Popular Science websites and
I cannot get enough of it. When
I come across a new invention
that interest me, I would read
every little detail and share it
with my friends. Apart from
knowledge that I gain, I also
learn to share the information
with others. It was not an
overnight decision but I know
that the choice of undertaking
engineering is something that I
will not regret.
In the Engineering Technology
subject that I took during high
school, I was introduced to
pneumatics, hydraulics, and
electrical circuit which I know
will be an advantage for me in
Mechanical Engineering. Besides
that, I have also learned about
Engineering Drawing which
include auxiliary view,
perspective projection, and
dispersion drawing that will
help me to understand
engineering subjects better.
Since the Computer Science
nowadays plays a significance
role in Engineering. Thus, I am
glad to have been exposed to
AutoCAD software. I believed
that what I learn so far is just
the surface of engineering field
and I cannot wait for the next
stage. So, I am ready to pursue
my interest in Mechanical
Engineering.
I love challenges in the real
world. The field of engineering
offers challenges that need
critical thinking in solving
problems. So far, I have applied
my knowledge at 2003's Asia
Pacific Bridge Model Competition
held at the Malaysia University
of Technology where my team
constructed a bridge model with
certain specifications. Although
my team and I did not win in the
competition, I felt proud to be
given the opportunity to
demonstrate the invention to
audience especially the
Professors. It was an experience
that boosted my confidence to
present ideas. I am also
interested in computers and
internet. At 14, I have
successfully built my own
websites. Inspired by the
attractive and sophisticated
design produced by 2Advanced
Studios (a website design
company), I become serious in
web designing until now. The
greatest moment was when I
became the champion in the
National Designing Website
Competition held at Multimedia
University.
In many ways, I am
different from others. I love to
express my feelings through
graphic designs where I use
Adobe Photoshop software to
produce digital artworks. The
knowledge that I acquire helped
me to combine calligraphy and
computer graphic which spark
interest in Arts to the people
around me. Later, I was elected
to be the President of the Arts
Club. In music, I was given the
chance to enter a band
competition where I was the lead
guitarist for my band. It was a
bonus when my band won the event
for group's performance. On the
field, I play rugby where the
fast decision making skill and
tactical strategies involved in
this game made me to be more
alert and ready for all
possibilities. I have also
joined the JERI Club to provide
English Tutorial for school kids
around the college. Through this
activity, I have developed my
communication skill. Besides
that, I had also volunteered at
the local rehabilitation centre
where I worked with cerebral
palsy, Down syndrome, and
autistic kids. The time spent
with the children has taught me
to be grateful with what I have.
All the things that I have been
through have taught me to be
more ready for the future. I do
not consider myself a genius,
but I do try very hard to become
the best. And I believe that
what we do in life echoes to
eternity. |
